1st Competition Night & Mid Year Competition entries

Hi  All

Bit late with this  but as webmaster  I would  like to say  Thank you to everyone  who participated & also helped out  at our  first   new site competition night .

It was  great to see so many entries  & to see everybody  helping out  Lets  keep the enthusiasm  going  so we can get the system working even better , because  there is a lot that can be done  with it  but it takes a while to set up & more entries  to make it work the way  it can .

I hope  members  will all allow their  photos that scored merits & honors  to be  included in our carousel on our home  page .  I am thinking of  including titles &  author names there  so  every one can see what we do at NSDCC & who does it.  Any body  who does not want their  name & title  on their  photo  please  contact me .

Now  while I have your attention   Mid Year Competition entries are due  next week  12th  June  .. Please  bring your  prints  to the  meeting .

Tonights Meeting

Hi All

Tonight is our first competition encounter using the  myphotoclub  website and so far, what a journey it has been.

A big THANK YOU to all the members who have joined up to our club website and also to those of you who have entered in tonight’s competitions.

So far all appears good, but the test is tonight, and fingers crossed I am hoping it goes well.

There are still lots of areas that need refining & improvement but let’s get thru tonight.  Any problems can be overcome.

Any suggestions to make the site better will be gratefully accepted but preferably in writing (email) as then you & I both have a record.

Thank you  once again   & I should thank my volunteer members who somtimes felt forgotten but were always helping by having their problems for me to sort out.

So now lets get on with the show.

WELCOME TO OUR NEW WEBSITE

Hi All .

If you are reading this, it means we are part way to having a new operational website and that we are now part of the MyPhoto Club family. An interesting journey so far and one that I hope we can all enjoy together.

It appears that through no fault of my own I have fallen into the job of unofficial webmaster so watch out anything can happen & probably will.

This page (I think) is for posting notice of events & things that are happening in the photographic world that may interest us, or events & things that we want others to know about.

Let’s get this working & we can keep in touch with others in our group so we can pass on ideas & newsworthy events.

As “webmaster ” I have learnt a lot & still have a long way to go so I apologize in advance for any stuffups  major & minor that may happen.  I will of course accept any help from anyone who also want to be held responsible for the aforementioned errors.
